I made this spontaneous clip a week before I left for new york, not knowing the storyline until half way through filming. it was a sunny day filled with stealing and then rearranging strangers’ towels, and climbing over brick walls when it was clearly written it was not allowed.

this is a video i made of the ridiculously talented alice englert, which some of you may know as the girl with the fat cat in one of my previous photos. couldn’t find lucy this time i around i visited, but we took some shots and did the teeniest film during the night which i will all put up in a later blog post very soon.

meanwhile, i thought it was vital for you guys to hear this girl’s amazing voice and ability to play guitar so well and effortlessly. acoustics is and always will be better live, and in this case the entire room was filled with the echoes and strumming of the sound. really really incredible. she is undoubtedly one of my all time favourite musicians.

“Necessary Pains”

happy august, also! can you believe it’s august already? such eagerness from precious time and in a blink of an eye, i swear it will be the end to another year. remember moments that you want to be remember and it will be fine.

i am in bed, sick, which somehow always happen to me before some sort of excursion or school trip. it starts of being an painful sore throat but i realise it takes so much more of my energy after sleeping for five hours during the day. i’m going to see my doctor soon and i really hope she gives me some sort of medicine that heals patients overnight. i go on camp tomorrow, until friday, and for three days, i will be living in a cabin with ten other people. it’s going to be interesting; there is so many of us and half the time we’re going to be running around high on adrenaline and sugar. 

so this is the little film i’ve been making for the past couple of weeks. it’s not for anything really, just a mixture of scenes from a dream i had about this bird-crazed girl wondering alone in a busy, city area at night. of course, i made it more delicate and a whole lot less intimidating. i hope you enjoy it and it was fun but i’m more self-conscious about it then towards photos. i think i will occasionally make a film if a dream, or an idea, is so significant and real that it overtakes the reservation and becomes the motivation.
